The International College of Applied Kinesiology was founded in 1976 from
a group of doctors who had been teaching classes. The purpose of the College
is to promote research and teaching of Applied Kinesiology. It is composed
of professionals with a common goal. There is no actual building but the organization
is formed as others in the health care field to bring doctors together with
common interests and goals. In the mid 1980's, the organization broke up into
chapters representing Europe, Canada, Australasia and the United States.
There are organized courses in Applied Kinesiology being taught in Europe,
Canada, the United States and Australia. Locations, dates and content can
be found in the section on seminars.
These courses are open to health care professionals who are licensed to diagnose
(DC, DO, MD, DDS. etc.),

ICPKP was founded in 1999 by Dr Bruce Dewe, M.D. and Joan Dewe to meet the
needs of students all over the world for an internationally recognised Diploma
based training in kinesiology.
Kinesiology institutes and colleges, in any country, have the opportunity
of adopting the ICPKP syllabus and teaching to an Internationally Recognised
standard.
The four year PKP Certification Programme ™ which provides approximately
2300 hours of learning is the most comprehensive, student-centred training
available in Kinesiology worldwide. On graduation, students receive an International
Diploma from the International College of Professional Kinesiology Practice.
In New Zealand, the home of PKP, students may also receive a National Diploma
in Kinesiology issued by the Government’s, NZ Qualifications Authority.
